In 2004 Co founders Pablo Imani and Ife Piankhi conducted a feasibility study with the African Caribbean community in South London. The aim of the study was to ascertain if the needs of people of African descent were being met by the NHS and if people would use a centre specifically to treat them, the kind of services they would like to see on offer and the time the would spend travelling to get there. The resounding response approx 98% was NO that their needs were not being met and YES that they would use a centre set up to support them. So NuBeing Health Foundation was born. Set up as a Social Enterprise NHF offers services in 4 areas-Health, Food, Shelter and Clothing.
